ParamedicAs a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.Job RequirementsHigh School GED, upon hire orHigh School Graduate, upon hire andVocational School Grad Graduate from a nationally/state approved accrediting paramedic program., upon hire and1-3 years 2 years of experience as a paramedic in a high volume patient care services, approved Critical Care endorsement, previous aeromedical, or clinical ER experience.During the orientation period, the Paramedic must successfully complete an approved Critical Care Paramedic course and pass the IBSC CCP-C or the FP-C exam to maintain employment. CHI Saint Joseph Health will cover the cost of the exam fee for the attempt they pass; any failed attempts will be the responsibility of the individual. After a third unsuccessful attempt, employment as a paramedic with CHI Saint Joseph will conclude, as the required certification standards will not have been met.
