Civil Project Engineer

Position Title Project Engineer (PE) Location Atlanta, GA 30350 (Hybrid - 1 Day Remote per Week) Job Type Direct Hire Pay Range $85,000 - $95,000/year+ based on experience Position Summary Seeking a Project Engineer with a PE license to support and lead residential land development projects throughout the Atlanta market. This role will be responsible for engineering design, project coordination, client communication, permitting, and construction support. The ideal candidate will have experience with single-family residential developments, hydrology studies, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, while serving as a technical leader for project teams. This is a hands-on engineering role involving design work, CAD production, and project management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Lead land development projects from due diligence and concept planning through permitting and construction support. Perform engineering design work including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and hydrology studies. Manage project schedules, budgets, technical deliverables, and project team coordination. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. Mentor EITs, CAD Designers, and technical staff while providing engineering leadership. Support construction administration activities including site visits, submittal reviews, bid documents, and pay applications. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license. 5+ years of land development engineering experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience preparing hydrology studies and stormwater calculations. Experience managing projects and mentoring engineering staff. Strong communication, technical writing, and client coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications Single-family residential land development experience. Experience working with jurisdictions throughout the Atlanta region. Experience with due diligence investigations, lot fits, and land acquisition support. Experience with multifamily or commercial land development projects. Strong leadership skills with an interest in career growth and team development.
