PA - RN - L&D - DaysCity/State: State College, PennsylvaniaShift: Days 0645-1915; 3-12s per week, every other weekendContract Length: 13 weeksStart Date: 08/13/2026Job Description:Responsible to Unit Director for overall nursing practice. Includes the responsibility for assessment of childbearing women (adolescence to middle adulthood), neonates, and family needs, the development of a plan of care to meet those needs, implementation of nursing interventions, and evaluation of nursing care based on outcomes for the population served.Responsibilities:Assesses patient and family's developmental level, health status, and health history including sexual and reproductive history and identified learning needs.Performs initial assessment and stabilization of the neonate.Develops a plan of care based on identified physical and learning needs.Teaches self-care and/or the care of the newborn to patients and families.Promotes understanding of influence of family relationships on health status.Provides support and collaborates with other healthcare disciplines in the treatment and referrals of families at risk.Promotes an environment free of hazards to reproduction, growth and development, wellness, and promotes recovery from illness.Assists patients and families to understand and cope with women's health issues and childbirth.Accepts responsibility and accountability for maintaining knowledge, skills, and competency in the care of women and infants.Requirements:Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required.Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.Holds the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and renews NRP every two years.Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews ACLS every two years.Requires strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.Client Details Address 1800 East Park Avenue City State College State PA Zip Code 16801
