Quality Analyst

Viacore Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Analyst to join our operations team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a passion for quality, process improvement, and technical documentation. As a Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring product and operational quality through the development of quality standards, inspection programs, training materials, and process documentation. You will also oversee the company's materials testing laboratory, conducting tests on conveyor belt materials and providing meaningful analysis and reporting of test results. What You'll Do Quality Management & Process Improvement Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and administrative processes. Create and update training materials that support operational consistency and best practices. Design and execute inspection and quality control programs for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Identify, document, and investigate quality non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with key stakeholders. Analyze quality performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and product quality. Complete customer and regulatory compliance documentation, including PFAS, REACH, RoHS, and other applicable standards. Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Safety, and other departments to ensure quality standards align with company objectives and industry best practices. Materials Testing Laboratory Manage the day-to-day operation of the West Des Moines testing laboratory. Prepare and catalog testing samples from rubber conveyor belt materials. Conduct laboratory testing using specialized testing and measurement equipment. Accurately document, maintain, and report testing results. Serve as the company's primary contact for laboratory testing activities. Interpret testing data and communicate findings to internal stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed. Perform other duties assigned by management to meet evolving business needs. What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications & Skills Self-motivated professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical documentation related to rubber, PVC, and other industrial materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to understand how products and processes work. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around industrial equipment. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build positive working relationships. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance. Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Experience with Visio and NetSuite is a plus. Familiarity with quality inspection and measurement tools such as: Calipers Tape measures Durometers DIN abrasion testing equipment Other laboratory and testing instruments Training will be provided on company-specific testing procedures and equipment.
