Respiratory Therapist Director

Overview Inspiring Health, One Breath at a time; Embassy of Parkside is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Director to lead our respiratory care team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and leadership skills, with expertise in respiratory therapy, department management, and quality improvement. Making a Difference Daily: Focusing on the impact RTs have on our residents' lives. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the respiratory therapy department Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care Manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards Foster a culture of quality, safety, and patient-centered care Requirements Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential; Long Term Care experience 3+ years of experience in respiratory therapy, with 2+ years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles, practices, and protocols Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and drive quality improvement initiatives Nice to Have Master's degree in respiratory therapy, healthcare administration, or a related field Experience with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) Knowledge of electronic medical records and respiratory therapy information systems Certification in respiratory therapy management (e.g., RRT-NPS) Parkside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability, race, color, veteran status, religion, sex, or national origin.
