Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our specialty clinic team. This role involves direct daily patient interaction and supports a high volume of over 20 patients per day. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients, managing medical records using Epic EHR, and assisting clinical staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Hours:

----- Monday: 7:45a - 8:15p
----- Thursday: 7:45a - 8:15p
----- Friday: 9:00a - 5:30p
----- Saturday: 7:45a - 4:15p

MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Manage and update medical records using Epic EHR
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently
• Collect specimens for laboratory testing
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide guidance and support
• Assist clinical staff with procedures and patient care tasks

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), specifically Epic
• Strong patient care and clinical procedure skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
