Position Overview North Valley Emergency Specialists (NVES) is seeking a full‑time qualified physician to join a thriving independent group practice in the Phoenix metro area. The role requires board‑eligible or board‑certified pediatric emergency medicine, or dual‑board eligible/certified emergency medicine and pediatrics. Site Information Banner Children’s at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Glendale, AZ Separate Pediatric ED with dedicated waiting area, construction set to finish in June 2026 14 patient care rooms and access to separate shared resuscitation rooms Dedicated pediatric emergency nurses & techs with child life support daily ~17,000 pediatric patients annually; 90,000+ total patient census Adult Level 1 trauma center (patients >15 years old) Academic affiliations with Creighton/Valleywise Health Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year residents), with opportunities for additional lectures/teaching Full spectrum of pediatric sub‑specialists (neurology, GI, pulmonary, surgery, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, urology, cardiology, endocrinology, hand/plastics, and OMFS) In‑house 24‑hour crisis social workers for behavioral health disposition assistance and dedicated forensic team Pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and NICU support in house 24/7 Practice Highlights Very competitive compensation 1099 independent contractor status Physician‑owned emergency medicine group with flexible, hand‑tailored scheduling Full voting rights offered after 2 years of full‑time employment Occurrence‑based malpractice insurance policy paid by the group Administrative leadership opportunities through NVES and Banner Health Coverage Required Board‑certified/board‑eligible pediatric emergency medicine physicians Dual‑board eligible/certified emergency medicine and pediatrics physicians Physicians board‑certified in Pediatric Critical Care with experience in PEM EM physicians with regular PEM experience Experienced PEM APPs (PA & NP) #J-18808-Ljbffr ACEP Now
