In this role you will get to assist in the inspection and monitoring of roadway and infrastructure construction projects to ensure work is completed in compliance with FDOT standards, project plans, and specifications.What You'll Be Doing:Assist with inspections and monitoring of assigned field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documentsCoordinate work and inspections with contractor's representative as required by higher-level inspectorsCheck lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard field measuring equipmentEnsure that highways, work zones, and traffic control setups conform to contract requirementsAssist in field sampling and testing of component materials in accordance with the construction contract and inspection of completed work in accordance with client's scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)Aid in the inspection of traffic control devices and equipment and reporting of deficiencies to ensure compliance with applicable standardsMaintain detailed, accurate records of daily operations and significant eventsAssist in the preparation of inspection reports and during project administration and inspection meetingsParticipate in the development of job safety practices and observe general job safety practicesPerform assignments in assisting Inspector and Senior Inspector in the performance of their dutiesAvailable to work daytime, nighttime, and/or weekend shifts as requiredEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:High school graduate having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.Valid Driver's License and a clear driving recordMust have or be able to obtain within 12 months some or all of the following certifications, as determined by job assignments: CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, CTQP Final Estimates Level I, FDOT Intermediate MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors, and Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self Study CourseSalary Range: $19.86 - $34.76We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing, which is why we offer best-in-class benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays to fit your busy lifestyle!Parsons is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected status.We truly invest and care about our employee's wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
