About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Must hold a required state RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA). Must-Have: Must be able to scrub and circulate general OR cases. Experience with circulating and scrubbing cases such as plastics, colorectal, urology, and surgical oncology is highly preferred. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room specialty. The role involves working 3x12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. On-call duty is required, with an expectation of 5 to 8 calls per month, which may include weekends. Holiday call may also be required. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Operating Room. Experience includes scrubbing and circulating general OR cases. Preferred experience includes procedures in plastics, colorectal surgery, urology, minimally invasive surgery, pancreatic/biliary, and surgical oncology. Candidates must have an active state RN license by the start of the contract. Additional requirements include BLS and ACLS certifications, which must be current. A radiation badge will be provided by the agency. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. This role is within a Level I Trauma Center and a teaching facility with a focus on high-quality patient care. All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
