Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in Minnesota, with required floating to Med Surg across multiple campuses.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an 89-bed critical access hospital
• Combined adult and pediatric ED patient population
• Day/night flexible scheduling with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30 days, 19:00–7:30 nights)
• Patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Floating to Med Surg is required, with travel across three campuses (Melrose, Long Prairie, and Sauk Centre)
• Minimum every third weekend required, with potential for every other or every weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending licensure accepted; MN is not a compact state)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience and 1 year of Med Surg experience required
• Experience in a combined adult/pediatric general emergency department required
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias required
• OB experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off must be finalized and submitted prior to consideration; no RTO in the first week of the assignment and no more than 10 days of RTO per assignment
• Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• RNs are required to wear black scrubs
