Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Long Term Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and adherence to safety protocols to promote a safe and efficient care environment. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift for CIRH (if applicable); a minimum of two years bedside clinical experience highly desired; valid nursing license in the state of Ohio. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term care setting preferred. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to identify education needs and goals. Documents patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly. Initiates discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicates changes in patient status to support continuity of care. Provides supervision and training to ancillary nursing staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. Maintains a calm, reassuring presence, contributing to a positive work environment, and participates in team building activities. Manages supplies and equipment efficiently, and follows safety guidelines to promote a safe environment for patients and staff. Recognizes opportunities for professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
