Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students! This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to provide vital support within an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom, working alongside a passionate team committed to inclusive education. With a Monday through Thursday schedule, you’ll help create a supportive learning environment and make a real impact each day.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a related educational support role
- Understanding of, or a strong interest in, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Ability to implement behavior support strategies under teacher/therapist guidance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and patience in dynamic classroom settings
- High school diploma or equivalent required (additional relevant certifications a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom assistance to students with ASD, supporting instructional activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff to implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Assist with classroom management and positive behavior interventions
- Foster a caring, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere
- Support students with educational, emotional, and physical needs as appropriate
- Track and document student progress and participation
