Position: Public Housing Intake Specialist  

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Pay: $17 to $17.25/hour

Experience: Previous admin, leasing, insurance, or related experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Type: Part-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday, anytime between 7:30am - 4:30am (20 to 25 hours a week) 

HB Staffing is seeking a  Public Housing Intake Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

• Knowledge of the regulations, policies, and laws (federal, state, and local) governing rental assistance, housing assistance, and social service programs.
• Understanding of eligibility determination, recertification, and case management practices.
• Familiarity with interviewing techniques, recordkeeping, and documentation procedures.
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, professional correspondence and reports.
• Basic math skills and close attention to detail when maintaining and reviewing records.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the public, vendors, contractors, and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, standard office equipment, and other software used to manage documentation and daily operations.
