Position: IT Support Specialist

Location: Reston, VA (onsite)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday  (5 Days on Site)

Assignment Type: Long Term Contract

Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $24 an hour

Benefits: This position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Position is not eligible for sponsorship.

About the Role

We're looking for an IT Specialist with 1-3 years of related experience to support our organization's systems, vendor relationships, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Ticket Management

• Manage vendor relationships and oversee all support tickets, monitoring progress through completion
• Communicate system failures, outages, and upgrades to staff
• Coordinate quarterly meetings with account managers and leadership to review metrics, tickets, and security posture
• Follow up on recommended security improvements

Reporting & Security

• Handle bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting across security and IT systems
• Schedule vendor meetings; coordinate quarterly penetration testing and IT security audits
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning meetings
• Manage vulnerability scans and remediation with appropriate vendors

System Administration

• Serve as administrator for a range of business systems and access platforms
• Partner with HR to onboard and offboard users from appropriate systems in a timely manner

Other Duties

• Travel to company locations as needed to handle onsite needs
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry certification
• Strong hardware and software experience
• Great communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of technical proficiency
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable with occasional travel between company locations
