Mental Health - Licensed Psychiatric TechnicianLicensed Psychiatric Technician Location: Soledad, CA Pay: $2,350/week Contract Length: 26 weeks, with extensions available Schedule: Full-time contract Care Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Psychiatric Technician for a 26-week contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in Soledad, CA. Extensions may be available based on facility need and provider performance. This role provides mental health and basic nursing support to adult patients in a secure facility setting. The LPT will work as part of the onsite healthcare team to support patient care, medication administration, documentation, and monitoring of patients with behavioral health needs.Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care and behavioral health support in a correctional healthcare settingAdminister medications and treatments within scope of practiceMonitor patients for changes in behavior, mood, safety, or medical/mental health statusAssist with crisis response, suicide risk monitoring, and patient observation as directedComplete accurate and timely documentationCommunicate patient concerns to nursing, mental health, and medical staffFollow all facility policies, safety procedures, and professional boundariesWork collaboratively with custody and healthcare teamsRequirements:Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician licenseMinimum 12 months of recent LPT experience preferredCurrent BLS certification preferred or required by facilityAbility to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environmentMust be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirementsStrong communication, documentation, and patient care skillsPreferred Experience:Correctional healthcareBehavioral health or psychiatric careCrisis interventionSubstance use or co-occurring disordersHigh-acuity or secure treatment settingsCompensation: This position pays $2,350 per week.
