Maintenance TechnicianWe're looking for a skilled, self-driven Maintenance Technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping critical industrial equipment running smoothly. You'll be the go-to expert for electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, conveyor systems, and facility maintenance across multiple distribution locations.If you want a role with stability, variety, independence, and long-term reliability, this is it.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance — Perform scheduled maintenance on conveyors, motor controls, and industrial electrical/mechanical systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.Breakdown Response — Act as the primary on-site resource for equipment failures, diagnosing issues quickly and restoring safe operation.3-Phase Electrical Troubleshooting — Inspect, diagnose, and repair industrial 3-phase power systems using meters, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Motor Control Repair — Service starters, contactors, relays, and related components to ensure reliable motor and drive performance.PLC Equipment Support — Troubleshoot sensors, I/O, and control wiring on PLC-controlled equipment (no programming required).Mechanical Repair — Repair belts, rollers, bearings, and conveyor components to maintain smooth material flow.Fabrication & Welding — Perform basic welding and fabrication for equipment repair and structural reinforcement.Blueprint Interpretation — Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals to complete accurate repairs.Facility Maintenance — Handle general building tasks including lighting, minor repairs, and handyman duties.Documentation — Record maintenance activities to support reliability, compliance, and scheduling.Multi-Site Support — Travel between facilities as needed, maintaining tools, service vehicles, and equipment.Required Skills & Experience3+ years industrial maintenance experience1+ year hands-on motor control troubleshootingStrong experience with industrial 3-phase power systemsExperience performing preventative maintenance on electrical & mechanical systemsAbility to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (I/O, sensors, circuits)Mechanical repair experience (bearings, belts, rollers, conveyors)Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematicsStrong electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience in material handling or industrial environmentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionValid driver's license and ability to travel locallyPreferred QualificationsConveyor Experience — Strong advantage for candidates familiar with material handling systems.Primary Maintenance Role — Experience working in facilities without in-house maintenance support.PLC Familiarity — Understanding of sensors, relays, and control circuits.Mechanical & Electrical Versatility — Ability to work across multiple equipment types.Task Prioritization — Skilled at balancing PM schedules with urgent repairs.Handyman Skills — Comfortable with minor building repairs and lighting work.Why You'll Want This JobStable, long-term work with consistent 40-hour weeksNo layoffs expected due to strong operational demandPredictable scheduling with a four-day, 10-hour workweek whenever possibleOwnership of your maintenance program across multiple facilitiesVariety every day — electrical, mechanical, conveyors, fabrication, facility workPaid travel time starting when you pick up the service truck in GreensburgA role built for professionals who enjoy independence and hands-on problem solvingWork EnvironmentYou'll support multiple distribution facilities in Greensburg, Oil City, Neville, and Altoona, working around conveyors, industrial electrical systems, and active material handling operations.This is a hands-on industrial role requiring safe work practices, proper use of tools and test equipment, and readiness to perform both electrical and mechanical tasks throughout the shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Imperial, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
