Overview
Occupational Therapist — Acute Care in Tacoma, Washington. Start date: 11/23/2026. This 13-week travel assignment offers a daytime, 5x8 shift (08:00–16:30) with guaranteed 35 hours per week in a skilled rehabilitation environment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,530 to $2,632. This position emphasizes hands-on rehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care in a long-term care-oriented setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct OT evaluations and ongoing reassessments for residents to determine therapy needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and safety.
- Deliver therapy sessions, therapeutic activities, and training to promote independence; provide caregiver and family education.
- Document assessments, goals, treatment progress, and discharge planning in the resident’s chart; communicate findings to the care team.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, adjust plans, and support smooth transitions and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety and apply infection control, adaptive equipment recommendations, and evidence-based interventions; monitor progress and adjust approaches as needed.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license to practice in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- 1 year of related OT experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or SNF settings preferred
- Ability to work a 35-hour minimum per week on a daytime shift (08:00–16:30)
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills; comfort working in a multidisciplinary environment
