Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM lunch; must be able to work Saturdays. Flexible work hours may occur.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical therapy evaluations and treatments for a 75% outpatient / 25% inpatient caseload
• Provide acute care in the ER, ICU, Med/Surg, Observation, and SNF units, plus occasional OB support
• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on mobility progression, functional independence, and discharge planning
• Manage a dynamic daily schedule of 5-15 patients, with 30-45 minute treatments and one-hour new evaluations
• Work independently in a rural hospital setting, adapting to a wide range of diagnoses and patient needs
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to ensure safe transitions across care settings

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (or willingness to obtain one ASAP)
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• At least 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Experience in outpatient, acute care, ICU, and SNF settings
• Ability to work Saturdays and adapt to flexible hours
• Strong independent clinical reasoning and patient education skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in physical therapy evaluation and treatment planning
• Knowledge of acute, ICU, SNF, and outpatient rehabilitation protocols
• Understanding of discharge planning and patient mobility progression
• Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
