Task Order Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Task Order Project Manager based in the United States.

As a Task Order Project Manager, you’ll provide leadership and execution oversight for a major federal cybersecurity support program.
You’ll serve as a key interface with government leadership and stakeholders, overseeing technical delivery, staffing, schedules, and contractual performance.
The role focuses on cybersecurity assessment and authorization, Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, and enterprise compliance across complex government environments.
You’ll lead technical teams and ensure cybersecurity services meet DoD policies, federal requirements, and contractual commitments.
Your work will directly support the security and authorization of information systems, infrastructure, and operational technology environments.
This is a fully remote, management-level opportunity offering significant responsibility, stakeholder visibility, and mission impact.
The position is contingent upon contract award and requires a Secret security clearance.

Accountabilities

• Provide overall leadership, coordination, and execution oversight for task order activities supporting cybersecurity assessment, authorization, and compliance services.
• Serve as a primary interface with government leadership, including Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives, Task Order Managers, and program stakeholders.
• Support the Program Manager with contractual, operational, technical, staffing, and performance matters.
• Manage task order execution to ensure technical services, deliverables, staffing, and schedules remain aligned with contractual requirements.
• Lead and oversee contractor personnel supporting cybersecurity assessment, authorization, and compliance activities.
• Ensure cybersecurity services support Information System Security Managers, Security Control Assessors, Authorizing Officials, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee Risk Management Framework activities including system categorization, security control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Ensure timely development, quality, and submission of RMF artifacts, including System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Risk Assessment Reports, Continuous Monitoring Strategies, and Plans of Action and Milestones.
• Ensure program activities align with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, DoD cybersecurity policies, and applicable federal information security requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, execution strategies, and performance-management processes.
• Monitor technical performance and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct Integrated Program Reviews with stakeholders to assess contract performance, cybersecurity program status, risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Oversee workforce compliance, including DoD cybersecurity certifications, security clearances, access credentials, and Common Access Card requirements.
• Track certification and workforce compliance through regular reporting and proactively address gaps or risks.
• Support enterprise cybersecurity governance, risk management, issue resolution, and continuous performance improvement.

Requirements

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent recognized project management certification.
• Current DoD 8570.01/8140 IAM Level III certification, including one or more of CISM, CISSP, GSLC, or CCISO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in information technology, cybersecurity, consulting, or related environments.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams, programs, contracts, or comparable initiatives with progressively increasing responsibility.
• At least 1 year of program or project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing large and complex government task orders or projects involving cybersecurity or IT services.
• Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity programs, Risk Management Framework implementation, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, technical performance, staffing, risks, and contractual deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity program management, RMF oversight, DoD cybersecurity policy compliance, task order leadership, contract management, stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, and enterprise cybersecurity governance.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain accountability for complex technical and contractual outcomes.
• Experience supporting DoD or DLA program offices and environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with DLA cybersecurity governance frameworks, enterprise cybersecurity risk analysis and mitigation, network security architecture, vulnerability assessment, technical documentation, and cybersecurity reporting is preferred.
• Current risk management certification such as PMP-RMP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGRC, or RIMS-CRMP is preferred.
• Ability to travel within one week of notice when required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a  Secret security clearance .
