Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, serving a welcoming school community not far from Lebanon, IN. We are seeking three dedicated educators to fill full-time roles supporting students with a range of needs. Openings are available at the elementary, primary, and high school levels, including Elementary Behavior Resource, High School Resource, and Primary Essential Skills positions. Each role presents a chance to make a daily impact by fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Indiana Teaching License with the appropriate Special Education endorsement (required for all positions)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related teaching field
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver instruction tailored to a range of learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Track student progress, collect data, and maintain detailed documentation
- Engage in school team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
- Employ effective behavioral and classroom management strategies
