Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

About the Role


We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide therapy services to children and young adults at a Medical Therapy Unit in Ventura. This role will work with patients from birth through age 21 who have disabling conditions, commonly related to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders.


The position will initially be based at the Penfield Medical Therapy Unit in Ventura . There may also be an opportunity to provide coverage at the Simi Valley location later in the assignment, depending on the status of an existing leave of absence.


Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to pediatric and young adult patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Work with children with neurological, musculoskeletal, and other disabling conditions.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
• Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging therapy environment.
• Collaborate with families and other members of the care team.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate patient records.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy License
• Experience or comfort working with children and young adults
• Ability to work with patients with varying physical and developmental needs.
• LiveScan required as part of the background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric physical therapy experience.
• Experience working with patients with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
• No overtime unless the employee works more than 40 hours in the week .
