Cloud Network EngineerThe Cloud Network Engineer will support the configuration, installation, and ongoing support of network infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. This role includes network design, implementation, and Level-2/3 troubleshooting for cloud networking components and security controls. Responsibilities span monitoring network operations, identifying issues, and applying corrective actions to maintain availability and reliability. The position requires hands-on expertise with enterprise networking technologies and cloud security best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support cloud network infrastructure across Azure and OCI, including network connectivity and segmentationConfigure and maintain network security components, including Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco VPN concentratorsDeploy and manage virtual networking constructs such as subnets and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) to meet performance and security requirementsApply cloud security best practices and implement security measures within cloud networksProvide troubleshooting and corrective action for network issues affecting availability, reliability, and performanceMonitor network performance and system availability; perform ongoing operation oversight and capacity planningPerform network maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations for third-party devicesSupport identity and access management (IAM) requirements within cloud environmentsWork with network administrators and engineers to deploy and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, VPN concentrators, and Network Access ControlProvide Level-2/3 support for incidents, problem resolution, and ongoing network operations supportQualificationsThis position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.Bachelor's degree and seven (7) or more years of related experience, or a Master's degree and four (4) or more years of related experienceIn-depth, hands-on experience with major cloud platforms including Azure, OCI, and GCPStrong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, and NATExperience with software-defined networking (SDN) and virtual networking conceptsExperience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and network deploymentsExperience deploying AWS security groups using TerraformDemonstrated experience with cloud or on-prem network devices, including Cisco and Palo Alto firewallsExperience with EKS cluster networking and related connectivity requirementsParticipation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is required for this roleWorking technical knowledge of TCP/IP networks and standards (IEEE 802.1)Publishing Pay Range: $58.00 – $60.00 hourly This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.About GDHAt GDH, we believe in the power of people and the importance of caring.
