Operating Room Nurse work within the operating room setting, collaborating with surgeons and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and well-being. Pampa Regional offers key services to the community including heart care, emergency services, urgent care, surgical services and more.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare the operating room, ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properlyAssist in preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completedDocument pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical recordMaintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipmentEducation and Work ExperienceCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Employment Status: Full TimeEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
