Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Day shift; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; overtime offered but not expected
• Job Setting: Hospital (8 Anesthesia Rooms); charting via Epic
• Types of Cases: General, Neuro, Ortho; required specialties include General, OB, and Pediatrics
• Credentialing: Estimated 40-60 days; emergency privileges (under 30 days) and temporary privileges (30-60 days) available

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required
• Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; completion of approved residency in Anesthesia
• Licensure: M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine; currently licensed as a Physician; candidates needing to obtain state license will be considered
• Other: Must be able to supervise CRNAs
