Line Cook – High-End Chef Owned Restaurant (Closter, NJ)

Compensation: Competitive Pay (Hourly based on experience)
Shift Details: All, Weekend & Holiday availability required
About Us
We are an established, high-end Chef-owned restaurant in Closter, NJ, built on exceptional cuisine, top-tier ingredients, and genuine hospitality. We treat our team like family and take pride in fostering a supportive, clean, and fast-paced kitchen environment. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven line cook experience in a high-volume, upscale, or fine dining setting., and Serv Safe Certification
- Skills: Strong knife skills, solid grasp of core cooking techniques, and careful attention to plating and detail. Active knowledge of common allergens and cross contamination.
- Availability: Full availability for weekends and holidays is a must.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, dependable, safety-conscious, and thrives under pressure during busy dinner services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prep, cook, and plate dishes according to exact restaurant specifications.
- Set up, maintain, and break down your station to strict sanitation standards.
- Maintain Accurate and Appropriate stock levels of ingredients used on your station and in the dishes you are responsible for.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen line and expo to ensure accurate timing.
- Manage station prep lists and practice proper food handling/stock rotation (FIFO).
