Senior Automation Engineer

You will Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley ControlLogix. Configure, calibrate, and maintain Allen-Bradley VFDs. Integrate and maintain toolkit based (PlantPax and others) control systems in packaging lines. Develop HMI screens and logic using AVEVA System Platform & FactoryTalk View SE/ME. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and production) to define control system specifications. Support machine start-ups, commissioning, and system optimization on-site. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network communication issues. Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. You have Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering or related technical field or commensurate experience. 5+ years of experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming and integration. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley VFDs. Proficiency with Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and Historian. Familiarity with packaging machine automation (or similar packaging line platforms) and understand PackML Standards. Strong skills in troubleshooting, I/O testing, loop tuning, and system commissioning. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts. Ability to penetrate controls logic for OEM equipment vendors. DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork. Ability to work shift work in Alexandria. You may have Experience with SQL databases and scripting in Historian environments. Familiarity with industrial safety systems (e.g., GuardLogix, safety relays).
