About the Role:
Join BLACK MEN & WOMEN IN TRAINING as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Portland, OR, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our clients. We are dedicated to empowering individuals through training and support, making a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Active CNA certification in Oregon.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to travel between client locations.
