A Registered Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Fredericksburg, VA at a 130+ bed community hospital offering a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour emergency department, critical care, obstetrics and neonatal care, advanced operating rooms, cancer care, heart and vascular care, and psychiatric services.

The role. Working across emergency, critical care, and acute care settings, the Respiratory Therapist assesses patients' respiratory status through focused physical exams, breath sound interpretation, and airway evaluation to determine appropriate interventions. The role involves delivering evidence-based therapies — including oxygen support, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques — as well as initiating, managing, and adjusting both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and responding to clinical emergencies. The therapist assists with artificial airway placement, monitors patient responses to therapy, and participates in stabilizing newborns during deliveries when needed. In addition to direct patient care, this position serves as a clinical resource for physicians and nursing staff, provides education to patients and families, and maintains respiratory equipment to ensure readiness, cleanliness, and safe transport of ventilated patients in accordance with infection-prevention standards.

What we're looking for.

• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• New graduates will be considered
• Onsite interviews will be required

Schedule. Full-time nights with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $32.95 - $41.42/hr plus $1,500 sign-on bonus
