Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate with 2-5 years of experience to join its State & Local Policy & Regulation practice group in Atlanta. The candidate will provide strategic legal advice on complex regulatory, legislative, and policy matters, collaborating with attorneys and advisors across various practice areas. Duties Conduct legal research, drafting, and briefing in regulatory and policy-oriented civil litigation. Research, analyze, and draft memoranda, briefs, and motions on regulatory and legislative issues. Prepare clear, well-reasoned work products for clients, courts, and agencies. Support business development through client alerts, presentations, and publications. Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and community leaders. Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Litigation experience, particularly in administrative or complex civil matters, is a plus. Familiarity with administrative law, public policy, or regulatory frameworks preferred. Experience with energy, health care, or other regulated industries is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia. Skills Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.
