Function: Set up and operate CNC Insulation Table in accordance with established procedures. Commit to making the machine and the process a success.


Primary Responsibilities:

1. Verify all equipment safety features are operating properly at beginning of shift; report any features that are not working properly to shift leader.

1. Observe & Comply with all PPE & other safety requirements.

1. Review work instructions, prints and routers for each job.

1. Set up and operate machine in accordance with procedures.

1. Utilize measuring devices such as protractor, vernier calipers, micrometer, thickness gage, machinist square, etc. to check and verify accuracy of work.

1. Work with shift leader and others to maximize productivity & efficiency.

1. Performs operator preventive maintenance of machine and tooling as required.

1. Thorough understanding of Insulation Table and heavy machinery SAFETY .

1. Thorough understanding of Insulation handling SAFETY .

1. Capable of reading part drawings and understanding tolerance requirements.

1. Capable of safely lifting 50 pounds without the use of lifting equipment.

1. Must be capable of understanding and operating Insulation table controls

1. Can stand for extended periods of time.

Additional Responsibilities: .

1. Report machine and tooling problems to supervisor.

1. May be required to assist maintenance in the repair of Insulation table.

1. Maintenance of and safeguarding of personal protective equipment.

1. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

1. Identifying and eliminating unsafe acts.

1. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1. Recommend drawing changes, equipment changes or improvements, reduce setup time and tooling costs.

Required Qualifications:

1. Must be capable of using common measuring equipment for Insulation.

1. Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and process instructions.

1. High school diploma or GED

1. Ability to distinguish material types;

1. Demonstrated reliability; i.e. attendance, process conformance.

1. Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities.

Desired Qualifications

1. 2 years CNC machine experience

1. Associates degree in Mechanical Technology

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

1. Requires bending, stooping and standing.

1. Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours pr day. (Overtime may extend time period.)

1. Good visual and spatial perception.

Pay Range: $20.25 per hour
