About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: At least 2 years of RN experience and completion of at least 1 travel assignment. License: Active state or multistate license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: Previous experience in ICU or IICU with an acuity ratio of at least 1:3. Description: This position requires the provision of care to adult patients. The patient population includes trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases. Monitoring and interventions are needed every 1 to 2 hours. The unit receives direct admissions and transfers from other areas requiring escalation. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response is required. Qualifications must include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring experience is necessary. Medication management skills including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips are required. Ventilator experience is essential. Floating to other units or campuses as needed is a requirement. Staff must float only to areas where qualifications and competencies have been documented. A charting system experience of 1 year is required. The ideal candidate should have experience in progressive care settings. The facility is recognized for its nursing excellence and features specialty programs. This role includes working during 2 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s. Weekend shifts are required, amounting to 6 shifts over a 6-week period. All requests for time off must be submitted and approved at the time of booking. Travelers are welcome, but they must have critical care experience.
