Project Engineer, Data Center Construction

Salary: $96,000 - 166,300 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 3 years of vendor management experience
• We need at least 4 years of experience working in a data center or another critical environment
• We need at least 5 years of data center engineering or operations experience
• We need at least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• We accept either a bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience
• Preferred: 3+ years of construction or project management experience
• Preferred: an Electrical or Mechanical Journeyman License
• Preferred: an operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or an equivalent credential

• We lead cross-functional communication and coordination with regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to keep construction information flowing smoothly and procedures standardized
• We build and maintain tracking tools for design changes, RFIs, and change orders, including dashboards with priorities and deadlines for leadership review
• We review Method of Procedure submissions for completeness, necessity, and associated risk
• We manage vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation
• We keep project management systems updated with key milestones, correspondence, and document control records
• We coordinate and track owner-furnished material deliveries to make sure they arrive on site on time
• We create and maintain a centralized repository for contractor-provided construction data
• We oversee quality assurance through checklists covering substantial completion, safety, and quality control
