Anesthesiologist

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide proven-effective care to residents in Madison county and surrounding communities. This role involves performing routine low-risk surgery within a small critical access hospital setting. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package and a favorable work-life balance with no call responsibilities. Practice Info HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland is a small critical access hospital. The hospital performs routine low-risk surgery. Case assignments include bread and butter cases, primarily ortho, GI, and general surgery. No hearts/heads or vascular cases. Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor the patient's physiological condition. Perform clinical intervention as needed. Compensation Salary: $450,000 Sign-on bonus: $50,000 with training assistance and loan repayment options available. Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Currently licensed as a physician.
