Join us to be part of a dynamic and impactful global company!Position DescriptionFeature Systems - Software Systems DeveloperSystems architect & development with concentration on new technologyLead development of features at the systems level from early feature development to production, including leading feature upgrade and migration plan.Develop high level network, wiring and power distribution topologies / schematics / block diagrams.Allocate features and functions to meet cost, quality and feature performance targets.Develop feature/functional/implementation specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, feature verification plan, functional safety assessment, cybersecurity assessment & mitigation to meet use case attribute targets.Develop, test and deploy technical solutions for endpoint hardware and software across the enterprise while ensuring compatibility with existing solutions.Design feature system using Model Based Systems Engineering & Software Development (i.e. python, C++) and software requirement tools (ex: Gherkin) for design and documentation.Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement. Interact with product and programs teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solutions to challenging requirements.Develop relationships with multi-functional teams and supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementation.Analyze complex multi-functional systems and implement innovative solutions.Lead trade-off discussions with multi-functional teams.Communicate complex systems, issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.Apply connected data & data analytics to develop a deep understanding of the customer.Develop relationships with the supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementations.Key specialist in development of next generation of vehicles, helping the fusion of system and software engineering disciplines to create revolutionary digital experiences in the vehicle.Skills RequiredSystems Engineering, Technical Requirements, Software Development Lifecycle1. Systems Engineering – Design customer feature systems using Model Based Systems Engineering & Software Development (i.e. python) and software requirement tools (ex: Gherkin) for design and documentation. Understand high level network, wiring and power distribution topologies / schematics / block diagrams and work with multi-functional teams to design the feature that interacts with electrical modules (software and hardware), mechanical subsystems, human machine interface (ex: controls, switches, touch screens), and driving solutions that translate between the high system level to component level2. Technical Requirements – In-depth knowledge and experience writing and developing feature/functional/implementation level specifications and requirements, writing feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, developing feature verification plans, completing functional safety assessments and cybersecurity assessments3. Software Development Lifecycle - Lead development of features at the systems level from early feature development to production, including leading feature upgrade and migration plans / development of test plans / resolving technical issues with solutions for endpoint hardware and software across the enterpriseExperience RequiredBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field3+ years experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in Automotive domain3+ years experience in Software EngineeringStrong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and/or featuresFunctional knowledge of electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, body systems, chassis systems, etc.History of collaborating with cross functional teams to resolve software problems and CAN communicationExperience PreferredMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field5+ years of related experience in an automotive engineering roleElectrical Systems engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V modelIn-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, Special Characteristics Communication and Agreement Form, Boundary Diagrams)In-depth knowledge of writing specification and requirementsHands-on technical role engaged in developing, implementing, and supporting software applicationsExperience progressing customer use-cases and concepts through design, architecture, development, testing and integration cycles.Strong systems thinking and analytical skillsAbility to effectively lead multi-functional teamsExcellent communication skills both verbally and written, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex issuesEmotional resilience to negotiate multi-functional trade-offsElectrical D&R experience / Electrical testing experienceEducation RequiredBachelor's DegreeEducation PreferredMaster's DegreeAdditional InformationHYBRID (4 days per week in the office / Monday to Thursday)Typical background of successful candidate: A highly technical individual that has developed and deployed (launched) a complex feature, product, or system with strong problem-solving skills.
