Sr. Research Support Associate, Li Lab

Posting Description SR. RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Li Lab, Biology,to support the development, operation, and optimization of a large-scale DNA assembly platform. The Sr. Research Support Associate will be trained to run a high-throughput molecular biology pipeline and will take increasing responsibility for executing the workflow from input materials through final product delivery. Responsibilities include performing DNA assembly, cloning, transformation, construct screening, plasmid preparation, and related molecular biology workflows; managing large numbers of DNA constructs, samples, reagents, and intermediate products; performing quality-control assays such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, sequencing sample preparation, and related validation methods; troubleshooting failed or low-yield assemblies; maintaining accurate records of sample identity, batch outcomes, QC results, and process deviations; following, revising, and improving standard operating procedures; coordinating timelines to ensure DNA products are generated, validated, and delivered reliably; and assisting with ordering, receiving, equipment maintenance, lab organization, and safety compliance.The full job description is available, here: Job Requirements REQUIRED: High school diploma; hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques; working knowledge of general laboratory practices; excellent attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple samples, constructs, and deadlines in parallel; ability to follow protocols and maintain accurate records; strong manual dexterity and clean bench technique; excellent communication skills; ability to recognize unexpected results and report problems promptly; commitment to high-quality work; ability to follow safety procedures; and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
