Unit Notes - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Floating roles: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing.

On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day?: average 150 patients per day

Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity

Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS?): ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Abdominal pain, DM, NSTEMI, penumonia, trauma, stroke, HTN

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must Have: Prefer:

Common drips?: standard ER medications

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: yes

Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties?: Techs that support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor as well as assist in triage.

Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's? RT available 24/7. They complete breathing treatments and ABGs

Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? no monitor tech, RN needs to be able to read an interpret tele

Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw? Will be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hour shifts - Leadership will make schedule based on needs

Weekend Requirements: Every other

Holiday Requirements: every other

Floating Requirements floating within region/zone's ERs
