Engineer

Requirements We are looking for a self-motivated engineer who can work independently and bring strong high-level technical expertise. We need someone with excellent communication skills, strong business sense, and a customer-first mindset. We value proven performance against goals, year over year. We expect a solid understanding of IT best practices and sound judgment when supporting client needs. We require the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. We want someone who can adapt easily across different business cultures and environments. We are seeking strong relationship-building skills with clients and business partners. We would like experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix. We value knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019. We are looking for familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. We expect proficiency in Active Directory. We need experience providing desktop and end-user support. We prefer experience with Windows client operating systems such as Windows 7 and 10. We value PSA or RMM platform experience. We consider certifications such as MCSA, MCP, A+, Network+, CCNA, Security+, or VCP to be beneficial, especially if recently earned or renewed. We require the ability to travel up to 50% to local client sites. We need the ability to meet physical requirements such as standing, walking, sitting, driving, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in varied field and office conditions. Responsibilities We maintain existing client relationships through proactive engineering support and problem-solving that helps generate revenue. We deliver best-in-class service to reinforce our customer-focused culture. We analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues both on-site and remotely. We provide timely fixes for system and application problems and ensure issues are carried through to completion. We support documentation and training efforts to improve the client experience. We manage, review, and oversee IT initiatives and special projects. We coordinate ongoing client IT initiatives. We design and prepare technology quotes that align with client budgets. We install, configure, and maintain network components, computer systems, and related equipment. We document daily activity in the ConnectWise ticketing system. We participate in the on-call rotation with the team. We provide desk engineering services. We take on additional duties as assigned.
