Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler I with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

This position can be based in one of the following locations: Kenosha, WI; Portland, OR; or Minneapolis, MN. Must live near or be willing to relocate to one of these locations. The final location will be determined by candidate preference and business needs. Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities include providing oversight of all planning and scheduling activities, planning, coordinating, supervising, and directing planning and scheduling activities, ensuring that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply, providing oversight and supervision of scheduling team, coaching, mentoring, and training field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents, establishing and nurturing teamwork environment, ensuring crews have resources and support, providing work direction and performance evaluations, identifying hiring needs and participating in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed, developing leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities, implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project site, managing open shop and union issues, maintaining relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, et al., managing site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field, minimum of four years construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience, experience as a project engineer is desirable, excellent oral and written communication skills, active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback, ability to travel up to 100%, thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software, thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing, ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in solving unprecedented problems on complex projects, strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills, basic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyout, working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies, strong organization and team skills, basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedules, basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniques, ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions, and results-oriented to ensure delivery of accurate, complete, and timely products and services.

The base pay range for this role is $102,000 - $137,700. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
