Production Planner

• Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
• Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year + 5% annual bonus
• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Production Planner to manage daily and weekly production schedules and help ensure customer orders are completed on time.

This position works closely with Production, Operations, Inventory, Purchasing, and Logistics to coordinate production capacity, materials, and schedules. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, comfortable working in an ERP/MRP system, and able to adjust quickly when production priorities change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, inventory, materials, and production capacity.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules for delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.
• Communicate schedule changes to Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and other internal teams.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory to ensure raw materials are available when needed.
• Track production performance and identify scheduling or workflow improvements.
• Maintain accurate information in the ERP/MRP system.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counts as needed.
• Prepare daily and weekly scheduling reports and KPI updates.
• Maintain accurate production and planning data.
• Work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of production planning, scheduling, or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems required.
• Epicor experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and customer specifications.
• Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production requirements.
• Organized, self-motivated, and dependable.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Manufacturing and production planning experience required.

Preferred:

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Lean Manufacturing experience or training.
• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience with inventory planning and material coordination.
