Checker (General Associate 2)Our cold storage warehouse is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Checker (General Associate 2) to join our team. This role builds on warehouse experience and takes on added responsibility for the accurate receiving and shipping of perishable products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. This is a physically demanding job. This is a full-time position with overtime.Schedule: M-F AM shift starting as early as 5:30 am.Starting hourly rate: $22.25Free and close parkingLearn to use pallet jacks and forkliftsPotential salary increases after 90 daysSuccessful candidates will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug screen.What you'll be doing:While working in a cold environment (38-45 degrees), you will be:Using an RF scanner to receive inbound loads and scan product into our warehouse management systemTaking product temperatures and verifying cold chain compliance upon receiptReconciling product counts against bills of lading and flagging any discrepanciesInspecting incoming trailers, containers, and boxcars for product integrity and equipment conditionTagging and labeling product pallets with ID labels and entering information accurately into the warehouse systemYou will also support all Warehouse Associate duties, including:Unloading and loading pallets from trailers and bobtailsHand-stacking of cases onto containers.Re-stacking palletsTransporting pallets in and out of freezers and coolers to the docks
