Faculty Position – Department of Pathology, Hematopathologist, Clinical Track Location: Memphis, TN Category: Faculty Department: Pathology Shift: Weekday Day Position Type: Full Time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 JR6109 Job Description The Department of Pathology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Hematopathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Member level. The position is on the clinical track, with 80% effort devoted to clinical service and administrative duties, and the remaining 20% focused on translational research and career development opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience in diagnostic hematopathology and flow cytometry. Additional subspecialty training in informatics or molecular pathology is encouraged, along with an interest in high‑complexity flow cytometry. The recruitment is taking place at an exciting time in the Division of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology, which will be moving into new clinical space within the Clinical Center at St Jude, including new laboratory space for the Immunopathology group and a focus on assay development. The IP team has recently validated a clinical spectral flow cytometry assay for acute leukemia diagnosis, with additional assays pending for minimal residual disease and other hematopoietic abnormalities. Qualifications: The successful candidate should have an MD degree or a combined MD/PhD degree. In addition to a record of scholarly achievements, candidates must be board-certified in AP or AP/CP, and be board-certified or eligible for board certification in hematopathology. Fellowship training in pathology informatics or molecular pathology is also encouraged.
