Make a positive impact supporting middle school students as a Sign Language Interpreter. This contract opportunity is based near Dallas, GA, with flexibility for either in-person or virtual work. Full-time hours (36 hours/week, Monday through Friday) foster meaningful connections and dedicated service as you work alongside educators to ensure accessible communication for students in a vibrant educational setting.

Qualifications:

• Certified or experienced in sign language interpretation, preferably with fluency in ASL
• Previous work within educational environments, especially at the middle school level, is highly valued
• Comfortable collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Able to interpret in various educational settings, both in-person or remotely
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards when working with students and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time interpretation between students, educators, and peers using American Sign Language or other required sign systems
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive communication, adapting to student needs across academic classes and related school activities
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of services provided
• Assist with facilitating engagement and participation by interpreting classroom discussions, lectures, and school events
• Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to align interpretation with curriculum and student goals
