Job ID: 55041Company: STERIS CorporationLocation: Mentor, Ohio, United StatesJob Type: Full-TimeFLSA Status: ExemptCategory: EngineeringIndustry: ""Posted Date: 2026-07-16Position SummaryAre you a technically curious engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working cross-functionally, and owning projects from concept to completion?Join STERIS as a VHP Application Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering advanced sterilization solutions that support pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory research, and food & beverage safety.In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as a technical expert in Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) applications, partnering with Customers and internal teams to design, integrate, and implement solutions that drive business growth and Customer success.What You'll Do as a VHP Application Engineer Lead Technical Solutions & Project ExecutionDesign and support integration of VHP systems across applications such as isolators, filling lines, cleanrooms, HVAC systems, and pass-through chambersOwn project lifecycle activities—from pre-order support through execution, cycle development, and final deliveryPerform and/or lead VHP cycle development, including planning, execution, and documentationProvide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and service teamsConduct equipment demonstrations to support Customer decision-making and sales growthPartner with Sales & Influence GrowthAct as the technical lead on Customer projects, supporting solution development and integration strategyDevelop specifications, system configurations, and special sales quotes (SSQs)Support pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity development alongside account managersCollaborate with architects, engineers, and end users to influence specifications and position STERIS solutions early in projectsDrive Industry Impact & Thought LeadershipBuild strong relationships through Customer engagement, trade shows, and professional organizationsLead Customer trainings, webinars, and seminars to educate and promote best practicesIdentify new applications, partners, and opportunities to expand VHP solutionsProvide voice-of-Customer feedback to influence product innovation and continuous improvementThe Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed.Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field1-2 years proven industry experience in working with VHP applications in Life Sciences Industry or 3+ years technical application engineering experience with capital equipment.Strong understanding of engineering principles and system integrationExcellent communication and presentation skills with Customer-facing experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD/visualization tools (e.g., Voloview) are a plusSkills and Experience Highly Preferred:Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or aseptic manufacturing environmentsAbility to manage multiple technical projects to successful completionConfidence presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesA collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvementAdditional DetailsTravel: Approximately 20–50% (primarily domestic)Work environment: Combination of Customer sites, manufacturing facilities, laboratories, and remote workRole may involve exposure to hydrogen peroxide in controlled environmentsWhat STERIS Offers.We value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being and financial future.Here is a brief overview of what we offer: Market Competitive PayExtensive Paid Time Off and (9) added HolidaysExcellent Healthcare, Dental and Vision BenefitsLong/Short Term Disability Coverage401(k) with a company matchMaternity and Paternity LeaveAdditional add-on benefits/discounts for programs such as Pet InsuranceTuition Reimbursement and continued education programsExcellent opportunities for advancement in a stable long-term career.#LI-HS1#LI-RemotePay range for this opportunity is $92,650.00 - $119,900.00.
