The Edward Law Group is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal who is a strong team player and takes pride in providing excellent client service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, and able to take initiative while working effectively in a fast-paced personal injury environment.

This individual will have the opportunity to grow with the firm and take on additional responsibilities as they develop their skills and knowledge. We are looking for someone who understands that being a successful paralegal requires teamwork, accountability, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage personal injury cases from start to finish , from pre-litigation through settlement and/or litigation.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients regarding their cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, and requests for disclosures.
• Review discovery and production documents for completeness, accuracy, and relevance.
• Upload, organize, and maintain case documents in the firm's case-management system.
• File pleadings and other legal documents with the appropriate district or county clerk's office.
• Monitor case deadlines, court dates, hearings, mediations, and trial settings.
• Assist attorneys in preparing cases for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial.
• Organize medical records, medical bills, photographs, insurance information, and other case documentation.
• Request and follow up on outstanding medical records and billing information.
• Assist with preparing demand packages and settlement documentation.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, and other third parties as directed.
• Maintain accurate and timely case notes and updates.
• Review case files regularly to identify outstanding tasks and ensure cases continue to move forward.
• Take initiative to identify issues, missing information, and upcoming deadlines.
• Work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to the attorney or Team Lead.
• Follow firm procedures and maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has personal injury law firm experience .
• Can independently manage a caseload and move cases forward.
• Has experience handling personal injury cases from intake/pre-litigation through settlement and litigation.
• Has strong knowledge of discovery and understands how to prepare complete and accurate discovery responses.
• Is comfortable communicating with clients and third parties.
• Is highly organized and able to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Takes initiative and does not wait to be told about every task that needs to be completed.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Is dependable, professional, and accountable.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Has strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Bilingual is a plus but is not a requirement.

Location: Houston, TX 77074
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift
Work Arrangement: In office
