Work Environment\nThis position is primarily remote, with flexibility to accommodate the unique needs of students during regular business hours. - Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings aimed at understanding the mental health needs of students, allowing for tailored treatment plans to be developed. \n
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services for students facing various challenges including anxiety, depression, and stress management. \n
- Lead therapy groups and workshops that cover vital topics such as stress reduction techniques, coping strategies, and personal development, helping students thrive in both their personal and academic lives. \n
- Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and residential life staff to create a comprehensive support system that ensures seamless integration of mental health support across all student services. \n
- Engage in outreach efforts to raise mental health awareness on campus, contributing to wellness events and programs that emphasize the importance of mental health. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and treatment outcomes, strictly adhering to both legal and ethical guidelines. \n
You will primarily support college-aged students who face a variety of mental health challenges inherent to this transitional phase of life. This population requires not only clinical expertise but also an empathetic approach that addresses their unique experiences, cultural backgrounds, and academic pressures. Your role will be pivotal in helping students navigate their journeys with resilience and emotional strength.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Possession of an active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required. \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential to ensure high-quality therapeutic support. \n
- Demonstrated knowledge of the clinical issues affecting college students, including the ability to program and adapt interventions based on the specific needs of this demographic. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effectively engaging with students from diverse backgrounds and establishing rapport within the campus community. \n
- Experience with evidence-based practices and proficiency in brief therapy models that are effective in a university counseling context are highly desirable. \n
- A proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a diverse caseload while remaining sensitive to students' varying levels of need. \n

- Experience in a school or university counseling setting is preferred to ensure familiarity with the dynamics of student mental health. \n
- Training in specialized therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), is a plus. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation software will facilitate efficient management of client care. \n
