Position Overview

seeking an experienced Business Analyst II to support the Cash Draw and Expenditure Reporting team during a large-scale system replacement initiative.

The Business Analyst will review, analyze, and document business processes and user needs; support business process reengineering; develop current-state and future-state process maps; identify risks and solution options; and coordinate closely with project managers, business users, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and document business systems, processes, and user requirements.

  • Document and map current-state and future-state business processes associated with a large-scale system replacement.

  • Collaborate with project managers and business users to reengineer and improve business processes.

  • Identify required process changes and develop solution options, risk assessments, and supporting analyses.

  • Prepare detailed process documentation, including the steps needed to develop or modify daily business activities.

  • Apply industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering practices.

  • Plan and facilitate meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items.

  • Organize and maintain business process maps and related project documentation.

  • Provide detailed status updates to project managers and other stakeholders.

  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have 4 7 years of experience in the following areas:

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.

  • Applying business analysis knowledge areas, activities, techniques, and tasks.

  • Planning and organizing work to meet project goals and complete multiple assignments accurately.

  • Documenting and mapping current-state and future-state business processes for large-scale system replacement initiatives.

  • Working with project managers and business users to reengineer business processes.

  • Identifying process changes and preparing solution options, risk assessments, and related analyses.

  • Writing detailed business process documentation and procedures for daily operations.

  • Planning and facilitating meetings and tracking action items.

  • Organizing and maintaining business process mapping documentation.

  • Providing detailed updates to project managers and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years: Experience working as an Organizational Change Management Analyst on an IT implementation project.

  • 2 years: State of Texas experience.

  • 2 years: Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).

  • 2 years: Experience using SharePoint.

  • 3 years: Experience with the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and/or the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System for Texas (CAPPS).
