Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of high school students by bringing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a full-time contract position starting August 2026 and continuing through the end of the 2026–2027 school year. This onsite assignment offers the chance to support a small, manageable caseload (maximum of about 10 students in grades 9–12) both within general education classrooms and through targeted pull-out services.

What You’ll Need:

• Current Maryland Secondary Special Education Teaching License
• Previous experience teaching or supporting high school students (grades 9–12) preferred
• Ability to deliver instruction using both inclusion/co-teaching models and pull-out settings
• Strong knowledge of social/emotional/behavioral intervention strategies
• Proven capacity for collaborative teamwork with general educators and support staff
• Commitment to individualized education and advocacy for all learners
• Two professional references required prior to interview

• Provide direct special education services and support according to student IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver inclusive instruction
• Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Track student progress through data-driven practices and adjust supports accordingly
• Foster positive relationships with students and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
