Work is performed in a professional healthcare office environment with frequent interaction with patients, visitors, providers, and staff. This position requires sitting for extended periods, frequent telephone use, and computer-based work in a fast-paced call center setting.

*About the Role*
We are seeking a Medical Scheduler to support a busy healthcare practice by managing a high volume of patient communications and appointment scheduling activities. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Handle 60-100 inbound patient calls daily
* Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
* Process referrals and prescription refill requests
* Verify patient registration and insurance information
* Assist with billing-related inquiries and account collection processes
* Answer incoming calls and direct requests to the appropriate provider or department
* Support patient check-in and check-out activities as needed
* Maintain accurate patient information within the EMR system
* Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
* Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
* Assist other office personnel with administrative duties as needed
*Required Skills & Experience*
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
* Previous call center or high-volume phone experience preferred
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced medical environment
* Proficient computer and data entry skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
