Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to labor, antepartum, mother-baby, newborn, OB/GYN, and NICU patients in a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center
• Maintain staffing ratios: Labor 1:1, Postpartum 1:2, NICU 2:1
• Administer and titrate drips including glucose, magnesium, pitocin, and insulin
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) at an intermediate or advanced level
• Support a unit delivering approximately 50–60 births per month across maternity, nursery, NICU, and C-section suite settings
• Document all patient care accurately within the EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Minimum 24 months of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
• Travel nursing experience within the last 15 months
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NRP, Intermediate or Advanced EFM, and STABLE certifications (documents required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Nursery and/or Mother-Baby experience
• NICU experience
• Postpartum nursing experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months
