Company Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Job Summary The Senior Data Specialist serves as the primary data analytics expert and strategic partner for the Internal Support, Payments and SASTeC (ISPS) Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. This role leads the development and execution of division-wide data strategies, mentors junior analysts, and consults with senior leadership on complex analytics needs. Working independently with minimal supervision, the Specialist defines best practices for data integrity, architects comprehensive analytical solutions that influence strategic decision‑making, and drives adoption of a data‑driven culture across the division. The position delivers enterprise‑level data solutions and translates complex analytical findings into actionable strategic recommendations that impact division-wide objectives and policy decisions. Key Responsibilities System Administration & User Support: Serve as the district’s integrated workplace management system (IWMS) data analytics administrator, managing a centralized platform that consolidates space management, maintenance, leases, capital projects, and sustainability. Design and Implement Enterprise Data Solutions: Design and configure enterprise‑level data integration frameworks across multiple sources and platforms, establishing division‑wide standards and leading root‑cause analysis for critical system issues. Develop Advanced Analytics and Visualizations: Lead the design, configuration, creation, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI (Python/DAX), Power Platform, and Excel. Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Conduct regular assessments to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency against source systems and business rules. Provide Strategic Consultation: Consult with stakeholders and leadership, gather business requirements, identify key metrics for initiatives, and drive process improvement with data‑driven recommendations. Create Documentation and Standards: Produce process documentation and best‑practice guides for data products. Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Represent the division in system‑wide communities of interest, evaluate emerging technologies for adoption, and liaise on enterprise data initiatives including IWMS. Mentor Team Members: Provide technical mentorship, review work products, and assist with training as needed. Requirements and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics/Science, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of professional work experience with at least 3+ years in data analytics. Experience: Demonstrated work with complex data architecture, advanced analytics methodologies, and stakeholder consultation at senior leadership levels. Experience: Mentoring or leading junior analysts preferred. Experience: Writing training materials, creating best practices, and training users. Technical Skills Expert-level proficiency in Advanced Excel, Tableau, and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate). Experience with SharePoint and data integration across multiple platforms. Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and designing dataflows for querying multiple data formats and databases (Power Query). Experience with Python/DAX for advanced analytics. Preferred Certification in relevant BI tools (Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Power BI certification). Facilities and workplace operations background. Experience with IBM TRIRIGA or related enterprise resource planning solutions.
